Hi- I've tried several times and I can't seem to get tabular data to load. I go through the process of loading my tab-delimited text file data and click on columns and rows as appropriate, then when I click "OK" or "Finish" at the end, nothing happens. The data in the viewer looks fine, and I don't get any error messages that say I'm not doing something properly, so what can be happening?

Are these settings the reason, perhaps? (hope you can see them) The paths for "recently used" and "Libraries" are different from the rest.

i don't think I've had problems with this feature before, so we need to dig a bit more before I know what the problem is.

Could you try importing this file: http://jexpress.bioinfo.no/DiauxicShift.txt ? I have already tested this file by importing it using the Load Tabular Data from the J-Express File tab and had not problems.

I just want to check whether there could be a problem with your file.

I can try it, but since I can't load the rat brain project files used for the data analysis course either, I think there is something fundamentally wrong with the program installation.

*update* - tried it- same thing. I click "OK" and nothing happens.

I did have problems with the installation that seemed fixed as the program now opens up where it didn't before, but perhaps it doesn't have all the bits it needs to run, or they are not all in the right place. (?)

Tried uninstalling and re-installing J-Express, and now everything loads perfectly. It was just an installation glitch.
